Home Decor to Transition from Summer to Fall

September 27, 2016

We don’t know about y’all but we LOVE the holidays…cooking for the holidays, decorating for the holidays, everything related to the holidays. But sometimes you just can’t wait ‘til the holidays to put up some fun festive decorations. Enter this pretty sage wreath… TADA!!  No, we’re not reinventing the wheel wreath, but we feel like this is the perfect transition piece to get you from summer to fall. Of course you can choose any color theme and flowers you’d like but we couldn’t resist how the sage, lavender, and white cotton looked against the earthiness of the wooden wreath base. We hope you have fun making your own and we would love to see your final products too. Just go ahead and insta #somaandulte

Supply list:

Ashland Grapevine wreath

Ashland Bushes

Eucalyptus

Ashland Bushes

Lambs ear

Ashland Bushes

Hanging Berries

Ashland Cotton Filler

Green Paddle Wire

*we got all our supplies from Michaels but we’re sure any arts and crafts store will have everything as well

Step 1: Use your base plant (in our case the lambs ear) the cover the wreath. Use as much as you can in bunches then use individual leaves to fill in any gaps.

Step 2: Make the wreath fuller by adding a bushier plant (eucalyptus). We kept it in the same color so it would give the wreath more depth without making it too busy.

Step 3: Add pops of color! We chose the hanging berries because A: we loved the color! And B: because we like the wilder more natural look it gives by hanging in toward the center and below the wreath form itself. And we chose the cotton to give it an earthier feel.

Now proudly hang your wreath on display!! This should keep you smiling until it’s time to put up all your merry holiday decorations!!
