Thanksgiving Pies

November 15, 2016

If y’all are anything like us you always save room for dessert, no matter how what or how much is for supper. That’s why we’re jumping right to the pies!! And we have three delicious pies for you today. First up is the southern classic Bourbon Pecan Pie.

We used this recipe here. Pecan pies are always a regular at Thanksgiving tables everywhere but its the addition of the Kentucky Bourbon that gives it that special twist.

Next up is the pie that has been my personal favorite for quite some time now. It’s an Apple & Buttermilk Pie c/o Sprinkle Bakes (find recipe here). This has been the go-to pie for me ever since I stumbled across the recipe.

The buttermilk in the recipe gives it a thicker slightly more custard like texture that is to die for and the streusel on top…just promise us you’ll make this one ok?

Ok, moving on to our last pie, the Pear, Brown Butter & Vanilla Bean Pie. Yeah, you heard that right and it is every bit as good as it sounds.

There is so much creativity you can express with your pies. That may sound silly but you really can give it any look you like. We tend to lean towards a more rustic look with raw uncut edges but these pies would look beautiful any way you do it and taste even better!!

Let us know which pies you try this Thanksgiving! Happy baking!

Xoxo,
