Thanksgiving is one of those holidays that sometimes gets overlooked. People jump from dressing up for Halloween straight into Christmas, we have been guilty of it ourselves. But Thanksgiving is actually one of our favorite holidays because it is a no pressure, no stress holiday. It’s all about friends and family getting together to take a day to express how thankful they are for one another. Oh, and there is some light eating involved, or as our posts last week proved a lot of eating in our case! Either way we wanted to give y’all some Thanksgiving table setting inspiration.
We are fortunate to live in LA where the weather will cooperate with outdoor dining. But you can do this too even if you live in a colder climate, just put blankets on your guests chairs so they can bundle up as the sun goes down.
Since the focus of any Thanksgiving table is the food we kept our place setting very minimalistic. Just a little fresh eucalyptus on each plate is all it takes.
Because we are total carboholics we feel no meal is complete without bread so be sure to include some fresh homemade bread on the table. And yes, sometimes a little snacking happens while setting the table so keeping a couple cookies on hand is always a good idea too
To complete the minimalistic vibe we used a neutral color linen table cloth, plain white plates, clear tumblers, and these so simple but oh so pretty concrete vases filled with eucalyptus. And we chose fresh fall fruits to adorn our table in place of a floral centerpiece because they add just the pop of color and lets face it, its more to eat! We hope this gives y’all some inspiration for your own Thanksgiving tables and we would LOVE to see your table setting too! Please send us pictures of all the hard work you’ve done!
