It is finally time to be like Joey from Friends and put on our Thanksgiving pants!!! Well, actually, we are putting on our Thanksgiving tops too because we want to be as forgiving on ourselves as we can when we happily dive into the stuffing and the gravy boat. We are already drooling just thinking about it! However, you don’t need to completely commit to maternity pants to fit in your food baby… you can actually still dress up (or dress down) and still look stylish.
We shopped for our favorite thanksgiving tops from DARI.ANN, a beautifully curated online fashion boutique from our friend and celebrity stylist, Dari Ann Settel. It is absolutely up our alley because it’s meant to serve the fashion lazy lady who doesn’t want to spend much time thinking about what to wear, but can somehow still look phenomenal. We couldn’t decide on what to share with you guys because the choices are endless so we narrowed it down to two OOTDs: one dressed up and one casual.
For our dressed up version, we got this stunning rust colored Jessie V Neck Sweater from Dari.Ann. It is shockingly only $44, which for the quality and softness of the material it is a complete steal. On top of that, it is a relaxed fit in the center so you can eat all day and night! (This is really what’s important here). The v-neck always helps to give more sex appeal, especially since it is baggier and we just love the fitted sleeves because it gives the top and YOU a beautiful shape. What more could you want??
You can easily pair this with some skinny jeans (black, blue, light grey, etc), but we went for an edgier legging from June’s closet of fun. A perk of being a costume designer/stylist is you collect random things over the years and this particular one is definitely from many moons ago. However, you can buy a similar pair of LEGGINGS HERE from Etsy. We know it’s not for everyone, but we like to keep things spicy over here.
Then we finished off the look with some gold accessories, like this amazing bolo tie inspired necklace. It’s currently sold out at Urban Outfitters, but THIS NECKLACE is somewhat similar.
For the girl who wants to just lounge and watch football, we decided to grab these two tops from Dari.Ann and went for the sexy tomboy look. There is nothing more comfortable and still put together than a loose tank, plaid shirt, and jeans. Connie and I are HUGE football fans and if we’re not in the kitchen, we are most likely glued to the tv watching football on Thanksgiving (and throughout the season). We grabbed this #SUNDAY #FUNDAY tank top for $28 and wore it under the LONDON PLAID TOP, which is also an affordable $44. What’s amazing with this plaid top is you can easily wear it alone and it’s a wonderfully versatile shirt. It can be buttoned to 3/4 length or left as longsleeves and it is a slinky light material so you can wear it throughout the year. Now throw on some converse sneakers or these boots from Sam Endelman’s Circus line and you’re ready for all the turkey day fun!
See ya next week!! We’ll be busy shopping our little hearts out on Black Friday for our next OOTD…
