Blush! Blush! Hurry Hurry Lover Come to Me

February 6, 2017

For those of you who are coupled up or plan on going out, Valentine’s Day  can actually be the perfect opportunity to tap into your inner romantic side.  For this fashion post, we decided to shop some really affordable looks if you’re searching for a great date night outfit.  We chose two different OOTDs to suit our own bodies, but they both evoke the same dreamy, feminine feel.

The first blush dress is a total steal!!!  This PIPED LACE SHEATH DRESS is actually from Express and is on sale right now for $61.60 from it’s original price of $88.  It is perfect for bodies like mine who are more straight up and down and who are less blessed up top lol.  Granted, you can definitely wear it if you have curves, but beware that your cup may runeth over and that could take this look from elegant to hoochie mama in seconds.

This dress is like a wardrobe wizard.  The seams act like boning in a corset and helps to give shape where there may be none.  If your torso is somewhat long or if you lack hips to fill it out… this dress problem solves for you because it cinches in at the waist with a seam that looks like a built-in belt.  This way, you get INSTA CURVES!

The seams also wrap around underneath the bust much like a bra and it also dips in a slight v at the front for the most elegant and subtlest of sweetheart necklines as to accentuate your chest.  This is completely perfect for this romantic occasion because it gives a sexy nod to lingerie without actually being lingerie!

I accessorized this look with my personal jewelry and this bracelet from Love Culture, which I purchased last year.  Unfortunately it is no longer available but you can purchase a similar LOVE WORD BRACELET for $12 on etsy.

And finally, you can definitely wear whatever shoes you please, but I would personally recommend a nude or a matching blush heel.  For me, I chose the SHANNA HEEL BY STEVE MADDEN in the color Tan Nubuck because I wanna look taller, I don’t want to distract from the dress, and most importantly… I want to be comfy!!  Also, the chunky heels means you won’t suffer a case of newborn baby giraffe legs.

As for Connie, she got these separates from H&M and it is also extremely affordable!  The top is actually a LACE BODYSUIT and is on super sale for $17.99 from $34.99.!!!  For something that is so inexpensive you get such beautiful detail work in the fabric.

This bodysuit can accommodate all kinds of body types, but it is quite flattering for those who are more blessed up top.  When worn with a sticky strapless/backless bra, it is the perfect amount of sexy without bearing it all.  On top of that, the bodysuit can be worn without a bra as lingerie.  Two things for the price of one!

The PLEATED TULLE SKIRT is also from H&M and is currently on sale for only $12.99!  Together with the bodysuit it is great color match.  This entire outfit is a little over $30.  You truly can’t beat that!

As for the reason why we decided on this outfit for Connie was because it works for a curvier body type.  The elastic waistband cinches her waist and falls just below her knee.   So if you feel at all self conscious about your hips, bums, or thighs this is the appropriate skirt for you.  It will help to accentuate the tiniest part of you while still hiding anything you’re not comfy showing off.  On top of that the body suit keeps the fabric up top from ever bunching and gives you an awesome, clean line all day long!  Add a nice nude heel and you’re ready to go out and be all romanticals!!

And now… the moment (you had no clue) you’ve been waiting for…

We’re both dreaming of our deliciously good looking dates arriving AKA ….pizza.

Seriously how can we get this pizza to arrive faster?  Let’s put our heads together and think!

Ahhhh…. too close.

Please sir …may I have more pizza?

Yup.  I have RDF:

Resting Derp Face.

8 more days ’til Valentine’s Day!!!
