Fall Time Fairy-tale OOTD

October 16, 2017

Connie and I are extra excited about today's OOTD and the posts for the rest of the week because we got to travel to so many beautiful locations!!  Often times we stay in the neighborhood to bring you our creative ideas, but this week we decided to celebrate autumn in the great outdoors... and we think going the extra mile really paid off.  Also, we just friggin' love roadtrips:).

We realize as a young company that we have a lot to learn about marketing our creative content.  We see the allure of escapism and attraction to exotic locations when we see huge bloggers we admire wearing absurdly expensive clothing in Bali, Paris, etc.  I mean, who wouldn't want that life?  However, (a) we are not sponsored by luxurious hotels or huge brands and (b) we always have to remind ourselves that we aren't those women.  Sure it would be lovely to be flown to New Zealand for a campaign for Gucci, but at the end of the day we made this blog to reach the every day gal who wants those high end looks but for a fraction of the price.

So to prove our point that you don't need to spend a million bucks to look like it, we created this fall time fairy-tale OOTD for you guys!

The first thing that caught my eye was this gorgeous floral printed dress from H&M.  The pattern reminds me of a Gustav Klimt painting... speckled with bold colors and shapes.  Can you believe it's only $39.99???

The top of the dress can be left unbuttoned as seen above ....

...or it can be buttoned to create a keyhole as seen below.  Absolutely love the versatility there.

On top of that, Connie and I love the long, puffed sleeves.  It is so romantic!

This orange trench coat is the perfect accent piece to the dress for fall.  It's thick enough to keep you warm, but thin enough to wear when it's not too chilly.

Shockingly, it's only $79.99!  Again, H&M for the win!

The knotted detail on the wrists make us drool... and, of course, they're also extremely practical.  Without them the sleeves were too long on me!

I'm extra giddy here because I got to wear my Steve Madden thigh high boots from last year to go with this awesome fall OOTD.  If you guys are still looking for it, it's only $129 ... this would probably be considered our splurge piece, but I can vouch that it's absolutely worth spending every penny!

Floral Patterned Dress for $39.99

Trenchcoat for $79.99

(not available online in the US, but here is the link for the UK... it is, however, avail in the US if you go into the stores)

Niela Thigh High Boots for $129.99

So as you can see, this look won't break the bank even though it totally looks like it would!

What do you guys think?
