The Last #OOTD for 2017!

December 18, 2017

Ahhhh!!  Christmas is only a week away and Connie and I have already left town to start celebrating.  I’m actually writing this post on the plane… almost 37,000 ft in the sky!  We texted each other from our respective gates at LAX this morning and we both couldn’t be giddier, but we always wish we were traveling together.  One of these days we swear it’ll happen!

Since we knew we were going to be apart for a few weeks, we had a little meeting last night in her apartment for the very last time before she moves--- the apartment that’s only 5 minutes away from my place.  We have been so lucky to have had this opportunity to live so close to each other.  Who can say these days that they live within walking distance from their bestie?  WE WERE SO LUCKY!!  However, as adulting goes, exciting things in life happen and things ultimately change.  As the night was winding down, we couldn’t help but reflect on what we’ve done this year and what opportunities have come our way and we realized how grateful we were to be able to have this gift.

We started off our blog not knowing how it would evolve or where it would take us, but we couldn’t be happier at the response we’ve been getting from you all.  It has really touched us to hear such positive feedback, and as the gal in charge of the fashion section, it’s been so encouraging to know that you guys enjoy our styling ideas!   So to celebrate the holidays, I thought it was appropriate to end the year with a fun Christmas party #OOTD !

It was all inspired by these GORGEOUS booties from ShoeDazzle.  As you guys might have heard last week, we have the absolutely honor of partnering up with them to pick our favorites from their Boot Season collection.  When I saw these red hot wonders, I immediately started drooling… I mean they’re literally wrapped in a bow you guys!  This is the ultimate #treatyoself.  The almost 4 inch heels make me just about as tall as Connie, which I LOVE because I could only wish to have her gorgeous long legs and model height!

Although I would highly recommend wearing these to your NYE party with a super sexy dress, I can also say I love them just as much as a fun statement piece with a more casual get up.

I opted for this HO HO HO sequin sweater because it really is a bang for your buck.  Not only can you wear it during the holidays with Santa’s favorite quote, but ….

...once you push the sequins in the opposite direction, it turns into YO  YO YO, which of course you can wear all year round!  How fun is that??  You’ll have to check out our instastories to see me demo the magic!

You can wear the sweater with jeans and some converse, but I chose a faux suede/leather skirt to make it a bit sexier and edgier … and don’t forget your trusty santa hat!

ShoeDazzle Red Heels with Bow

Red Sequin Santa Hat $7.12

HO HO HO Sweater $24.99

Faux Suede/Leather Black Mini Skirt $29.99

And now you’re ready to party all night long!
