Jungalow Bungalow

June 8, 2018

One of my favorite things about summer as far as decorating goes is that any color pallet is appropriate for the season! You can do all whites and neutrals, neons, pastels, you name it, it's fair game! In the last few years we've seen the rise of the "jungalow" look and this just may be the most true to summer vibe you can get. In the summer everything turns green, it doesn't have all the florals of spring because most flowers can handle all the heat but the plants are still lush. It's super fun and screams beach resort! But it is a trend, and my feelings about trends is that they're fun to play with and get into but you don't necessarily want to invest big bucks. So here we're showing you how you can get into the jungalow vibes in a way that can transition into other looks later on!

I try not to sound like a broken record but I guess I'm going to anyway :) Throw pillows and throw blankets are the easiest and most cost effective way to mix your style up. They're not huge investments but they can make a big difference. THESE pillows are perfect to achieve the jungalow look but would also look great mixed in with some solid blush pink, a sunny yellow, or all black and white and the look would totally change!

We've also talked about our love of plants several times but they are an absolute MUST for this look. And obviously they work in your home no matter what you're chosen style is so again you're not locking yourself into a look you may only want for a season.

And as yall probably know by now, one of my favorite parts about any new home style is entertaining! When I saw THIS set from world market I immediately imagined I was sipping mai tai's in Key West! I mean, what's not to love about that?!

I also loved the way it looked when we put THIS tray on top of the stool and it made it look like a pineapple! Remember, decorating is supposed to be fun!!

We hope yall have a great weekend!

Xoxo,
