If you're looking for the quintessential fall breakfast then look no further we have got it for you right here! I found this recipe from one of my all time favorite chefs/food bloggers Kayley McCabe from The Kitchen McCabe, I knew it would be good as all her recipes are but as soon as I tasted this it was like I was tasting autumn!
I changed her recipe only slightly by using almond milk and vegan butter because that's what I had on hand. The only difference was that the vegan butter didn't truly brown the way real butter does but it still taste amazing and I don't think anyone would notice if I didn't tell them
One of the best parts about this recipe is that it is sweetened only with maple syrup which gives it a truly rich taste and it's the maple syrup and cinnamon that gives it that fall taste. Well that and the fact that the caramelized apples taste like apple pie!
To serve it top your oatmeal with warm milk
And a drizzle of maple syrup
And the best part is that this breakfast can be made the night before and eaten throughout the week so you don't have to think about breakfast every morning!!
