Our 5 Fave Cheerful Yellow Dresses for Spring

April 1, 2019

Connie and I are SO HAPPY these days because the temps are finally warming up and all of the flowers are in full bloom.  Spring has officially arrived in LA!!  As an ode to all the rays we've been getting, this week we are celebrating #sunshineyellow.  It is, by far, one of the happiest colors and you can't help but be cheerful when wearing it.  So we've picked our top 5 favorite yellow dresses we think are perfect for the season.  In no particular order:

The Fringe Halter Tassel Back Mini Dress for $52.00

This has become one of my favorite pieces in my collection because it really speaks to me in so many ways.  As a costume designer, I particularly love the homage to the flapper dress since the 1920s is one of my favorite decades of style.

It is seriously so entertaining to wear.  Just walking down the street or even a little hip shaking creates a beautiful visual show.

The fringe has a nice weight to it that allows it to lay so gracefully on the body.  TIP:  I did have to comb the fringe to keep it a bit more tamed.

Because it is to covered and layered in the front, it is a great ratio of "covered to sexy" with the plunging back.

It zips up, has a hook & eye for security, and a long neck tie with tassels.  Again, such a fun detail that gives even more movement!

On top of this dress being an excellent choice to wear to your next event or fun vacay, it's also currently on sale from $87 to $52!

Lovers + Friends Casey Dress for $158

This is fun and flirty strapless floral dress ideal for a sexy date night!  It's got boning in the bodice for extra support and more flattering on your figure.

Lille Printed Maxi Dress for $158

This maxi dress is perfect for your time in the tropics or basking in island life.  It has a fun Hawaiian print that comes in 3 different color combos.

Pleated Dress for $69.90

Romantic, flowy, and youthful... this pleated dress is most flattering for those who have smaller breasts as it has a narrow top.  If you are blessed up top, it might add more weight than you may have.  However, if you are pregnant, this could also be an option for you as it has PLENTY of space for a growing belly:)

Mara Hoffman Linny Dress for $395

If you are cool with making a splurge in spring, this dress is right up your cheerful alley!  It is a much higher price point, but it's a color blocking design that is inspired by the lux clothes of Yves St. Laurent.  It is both classy and happy, which I can absolutely see on a yacht of some sort off the coast of Santorini.

Which one is your favorite?  We'd love to hear your feedback!

XOXO,
